Sheri A. Breen is a co-founder and one of the Managing Partners of the firm. For more than 30 years, Sheri has dedicated her law practice to representing injured victims in personal injury cases. She practices with a passion for her work and has established a remarkable record of success as a personal injury litigation lawyer. Her proficiency, skills, expertise, and mastery of personal injury law are unmatched.
When she was 10 years old, Sheri was introduced to the world of law after her family was injured in a serious vehicle accident on their way to a family vacation in their camper, which was life changing for her and her family. During the resulting lawsuit, Sheri was deposed and experienced the legal process first hand. She appreciated the help, support, and protection the family’s attorney provided, and became interested in a career in law as a result. Her own experience gives Sheri powerful insight into her clients’ circumstances and underlies her intense compassion for her clients and their circumstances.
Sheri worked for a law firm while in high school and interned at another firm in the summer during college at Pace University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Sheri then attended Seton Hall School of Law. During law school, she interned for the Honorable Peter F. Boggia, JSC (Ret) in the New Jersey Superior Court. After earning her Juris Doctor degree, Sheri served a judicial clerkship in the New Jersey Superior Court with the Honorable George W. Parsons, Jr., JSC.
In 1997, after working at another personal injury law firm for two years, Sheri joined a personal injury litigation firm in Fort Lee, New Jersey. She remained with the firm for more than 27 years, becoming the Managing Partner. During her tenure, Sheri won multi-millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts for her clients. Sheri and Natalie Zammitti Shaw practiced together at the firm for over two decades before setting out on their own to establish Injury Lawyers of NJ.
With a practice concentration solely in personal injury litigation, Sheri has successfully addressed cases involving auto negligence, including representation of clients injured by intoxicated drivers, medical malpractice, toxic exposure, products liability, construction defects, insurance coverage, and discrimination. Her cases have included high-profile matters that garnered significant public attention.
Through her years of experience, Sheri has developed exceptional knowledge and skills as a personal injury lawyer. She practices with a passion for achieving victory for her clients and for holding legally responsible parties fully accountable for their actions. Sheri is known for her energy and tenacity, whether negotiating with insurance representatives or presenting a case in court.
In representing personal injury clients, Sheri focuses on providing personalized attention to each client. From her own experience as a client, she knows that establishing a relationship built on trust and providing support throughout the process are critical components of successful representation.
Honest, straightforward client communication is a central part of Sheri’s approach as a personal injury lawyer. As she guides a client through the legal process, she makes certain the client understands the law and its application to their case, so they are able to make fully informed decisions. She always takes the time to answer questions and address concerns, remaining by the client’s side every step of the way to reassure them that their case is in the most capable hands possible. When a client tells Sheri that they feel like family — as they often do — she takes pride in knowing that she accomplished her goal of providing the highest level of personalized service and attention to the client.
